[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok directly criticized Jang Ye-chan, chairman of the Youth Foundation, on the 19th.
On that day, Lee posted on his Facebook, "Yongtae from outside the party (former People Power Party Supreme Council member Kim Yong-tae) asked Ye-chan (Chairman Jang), who defeated an incumbent proportional representative member in the party convention election, to lend the Communication Center for a press conference. So Ye-chan, who can hold a press conference, shouldn’t say anything to Yongtae about his political status or the legitimacy of his political activities," he wrote.
Former Supreme Council member Kim Yong-tae was elected as the youth quota Supreme Council member at the party convention when Lee was elected party leader. At that time, Representative Lee Yong also competed. Representative Lee has been in charge of the presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol’s campaign and helped Chairman Jang hold a press conference at the Communication Center the day before.
This post was a direct response by Lee after Chairman Jang criticized Lee’s youth supporters earlier that morning, saying, "Yeouido 2 o’clock youth. It’s a derogatory term for young people who wander around the political world without any social life experience." On Facebook, Chairman Jang pointed out, "Spokespersons from NaGukDae (I am the National Spokesperson), whose names I have never heard before, and former youth Supreme Council member Kim Yong-tae, who declared assets worth over 2 billion won in two years and can focus on politics without financial worries. What kind of social life have you had besides politics or broadcasting?"
Lee responded, "No matter how much you criticize the status of the spokesperson group directly elected by the people, it won’t work," adding, "Of course, if that helps you, Ye-chan, to do better, I will support you. Apelo do gaesok (I will continue to support you in the future)."
