Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Lee Kwang-hoon) held a scholarship certificate awarding ceremony on the 17th at the Gori Sports Culture Center in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters donated a total of 370 million KRW in scholarships to 268 students, including 232 university students and 36 high school students from neighboring areas of the power plant.
The scholarship award ceremony held on the 17th at the Gori Sports Culture Center in Gijang-gun, Busan, was attended by about 20 people, including Lee Kwang-hoon, head of the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, Kim Jin-yong, chairman of the Gori Headquarters Labor Union, and representatives of the scholarship students.
Lee Kwang-hoon, head of the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “I hope this will be a small help for students to grow into excellent future talents of the local community, and the Gori Headquarters will continue educational scholarship projects so that local talents can freely pursue their dreams.”
The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters conducts educational scholarship projects worth about 2 billion KRW annually, including scholarship support, after-school program support, and native English instructor support, to nurture talents and improve the educational environment in neighboring areas of the power plant.
