"Sincere Apology, Will Make Every Effort"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Samsung Electronics announced that it will provide free door replacement services for washing machine models involved in recent incidents of 'drum washing machine glass door breakage.'
On the 18th, Samsung Electronics posted this announcement on the official websites of Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electronics Service.
In the notice, Samsung Electronics stated, "There have been cases where the tempered glass door of some drum washing machine models detached due to adhesive failure, etc. We will conduct preliminary inspections for customers who purchased the affected models and provide free door replacement services through Samsung Electronics Service."
They added, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to our customers. We will do our best to minimize customer inconvenience and damage."
The free service applies to drum washing machine products produced domestically from September last year to May this year. The affected model names are 'WF24A95***' (excluding WF24A9500KV), 'WF24B96***', and 'WF25B96***', among others.
The model name can be confirmed on the energy consumption efficiency rating label attached to the front of the product.
