Gyeongnam Province, Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do is promoting a Onnuri gift certificate refund event to boost consumption at traditional markets during the Chuseok holiday.
The refund event applies when the total purchase amount by one person at a single market in one day is 50,000 KRW or more.
Even if there are multiple purchase receipts from credit cards, cash, Zero Pay, etc., 5,000 KRW will be refunded for every 50,000 KRW spent in total.
Refunds can be received in Onnuri gift certificates up to a maximum of 30,000 KRW within a purchase limit of 300,000 KRW.
The event is held at 46 markets and 5,196 stores within the province, and any customer using traditional markets can participate.
To participate, customers must purchase products at stores that can issue purchase receipts via credit card, cash, Zero Pay, etc., and then present the receipts at designated refund locations.
The province stated that last year, they also conducted traditional market consumption promotion events such as Onnuri gift certificate refunds and free delivery, achieving a 35% increase in visitors and a 38% increase in sales.
An official from the Small Business Policy Division said, "In a situation where consumption promotion events are more necessary than ever due to the economic downturn, we have organized the Onnuri gift certificate refund event," adding, "We hope many people will use traditional markets with abundant benefits such as the Onnuri gift certificate refund event while carefully following individual quarantine rules this Chuseok."
They also advised, "If purchase receipts are not issued, refunds cannot be received, so please check in advance whether receipts can be issued."
