Dongmyung University Appoints 52 Admissions Officers, Begins Job Training... Admission System Fully Operational

An admissions officer commissioning ceremony is being held at Dongmyung University.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongmyung University has shifted to a full-scale admissions system by appointing admissions officers in preparation for the comprehensive student record evaluation scheduled from September 13 to September 17.

President Jeon Ho-hwan, former admissions officers, and about 60 appointed faculty admissions officers participated in an ethics pledge and job training to secure evaluation expertise on the 17th.

Dongmyung University conducted education on topics such as ▲ Introduction to the High School Education Contribution University Support Project and survival of regional universities ▲ Understanding the 2023 university admissions process ▲ Admissions officers' job ethics to strengthen the expertise of admissions officers through the High School Education Contribution University Support Project.

Admissions officers participate in the comprehensive student record evaluation after completing 40 hours of training annually to select students based on evaluation criteria such as major suitability, academic ability, and character for the operation of the comprehensive student record evaluation.

Kwack Ok-geum, Director of Admissions and Public Relations, said, “Dongmyung University will greatly strengthen communication with high schools through the 2022 High School Education Contribution University Support Project and expand opportunities for examinees to explore their dreams and career goals.”

Dongmyung University, fostering ‘Do-ing’ talents who advocate challenge, experience, and practice, will select 1,537 students, which is 94.5% of the total quota of 1,627, through early admission from September 13 to 17, and 149 students outside the quota.

Multiple applications between admission types are allowed, and the minimum CSAT score requirement does not apply to all departments except the Department of Nursing and the Department of Military Science.
