[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Boryung (formerly Boryung Pharmaceutical) announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea National Park Service under the Ministry of Environment to prevent safety accidents within national parks and protect natural and cultural landscapes.
This agreement was prepared as a way for the Korea National Park Service, a leading institution in natural ecosystem conservation, and Boryung, which strives for human health, to explore the "coexistence of nature and people."
Along with the signing ceremony, a donation ceremony was held where the Korea National Park Service received 1,300 protective equipment items across 8 categories to help prevent musculoskeletal disorders that may occur during fieldwork. Starting with the donation of protective equipment, Boryung plans to promote various cooperative projects with the Service to protect the natural and cultural landscapes of national parks, including volunteer activities by its employees.
Jang Doo-hyun, CEO of Boryung, said, "It is an important era where companies must fulfill social roles and responsibilities beyond pursuing profits," adding, "We will strive to practice ESG management not only through internal efforts but also through external cooperation."
