[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Kumho Construction announced on the 18th that it has won the contract for the ‘Chungbuk Okcheon Maam-ri Apartment Complex Project.’
The ‘Chungbuk Okcheon Maam-ri Apartment Complex’ is a project commissioned by Daehan Land Trust, located on a 24,513㎡ site at San 2-3, Maam-ri, Okcheon-eup, Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. The construction involves building six buildings from one basement floor to 21 floors above ground, comprising 499 apartment units. The complex will consist of 459 units of 84㎡ (3 types), which are highly preferred by demand, and 40 units of 114㎡ (1 type).
The total construction cost is approximately 109.8 billion KRW. Groundbreaking and sales are scheduled for September, with a construction period of 28 months from the start date.
Okcheon-gun, where the project site is located, has planned transportation benefits. When the Chungcheong Regional Metropolitan Railway connecting Okcheon and Daejeon opens in 2026, it will be possible to reach Daejeon Ojeong Station from Okcheon Station near the complex in just 15 minutes, allowing residents to enjoy the infrastructure of the Daejeon living area. By car, it is possible to access downtown Daejeon within 30 minutes from the complex.
The educational environment is also well established. Samyang Elementary School is located near the complex, allowing for walking commutes. Additionally, Okcheon Middle School and Girls’ Middle School are situated nearby, attracting significant interest from households with children.
A Kumho Construction official stated, “This complex is attracting attention from demanders due to the advantage of being able to fully enjoy the living infrastructure of the Daejeon area upon completion of the metropolitan railway,” adding, “We will supply a premium apartment of excellent quality that will become a landmark in Okcheon-gun.”
