From the 17th to the 21st, for 5 days at Haeundae BEXCO Outdoor Plaza
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City will hold the "2022 Busan Craft Beer Festival" for five days from the 17th to the 21st at the outdoor plaza of BEXCO in Haeundae.
The Busan Craft Beer Festival has been held annually since 2018 to foster craft beer, which was the first selected promising small business industry, as a specialized brand of Busan and to support local small business owners selling craft beer in expanding their sales channels.
About 27,000 visitors attended the festival in 2019, but it was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
This year’s festival breaks the hiatus and is held for the first time in three years.
The event will showcase about 100 types of craft beer brewed by breweries gathered from all over the country, along with various food trucks, busking, DJing, magic shows, and other diverse food and entertainment.
A total of 15 companies from across the country, including seven representative craft beer breweries from Busan, will participate in this year’s festival, and eight local small business owners from Busan will operate food trucks and food courts.
▲ Music performances such as jazz, pop songs, and DJing ▲ "Midsummer Night’s Emotional Cafe," where audience stories are read and requested songs are played ▲ "Dress Code," which offers free craft beer vouchers to those wearing various types of clothing symbolizing Busan ▲ and "Nostalgic Photo Studio," where photos taken at the festival can be printed, will also be held as side events.
Lee Joon-seung, Director of the Digital Economy Innovation Office of Busan City, said, “The festival, held for the first time in three years, is expected not only to provide local small business owners with opportunities to expand their sales channels but also to offer citizens a unique enjoyment.”
The festival operating hours are from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
