Ulju-gun to Implement Small Business Card Fee Support Program This Year

Ulju-gun to Implement Small Business Card Fee Support Program This Year Ulju County Office.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, is implementing the ‘2024 Ulju-gun Small Business Card Fee Support Project.’

This project, first launched in Ulsan in 2020, was promoted to alleviate the management burden of local small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and rising prices.

Last year, it received great response by supporting a total of 3360 local small business owners with 710 million KRW.

Ulju-gun is investing a total budget of 1.26 billion KRW for this year’s project and is expanding the target by relaxing the support criteria to small business owners with annual sales of 300 million KRW or less in the previous year.

The eligibility criteria have been relaxed annually, from small business owners with annual sales of 100 million KRW or less in 2020 to those with 200 million KRW or less last year.

Applicants must be small business owners operating a business in Ulju-gun as of the announcement date, with annual sales of 300 million KRW or less in the previous year.

The project supports card fees equivalent to 0.8% of last year’s card sales, up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW.

The application period is from the 22nd of this month to September 30th. Applicants should bring their business registration certificate and a copy of their bankbook to the administrative welfare center in their business location’s eup or myeon to apply.

An Ulju-gun official said, “We hope this support will provide some strength to local small business owners,” and added, “We hope as many local small business owners as possible apply without omission so that we can overcome the difficult economic situation together.”
