[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Hyun-ji] Joo Ho-young, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, said on the 17th regarding the injunction application filed by former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok to suspend the effectiveness of the Emergency Response Committee, "There is no possibility of it being granted," but added, "If the procedure is insufficient, it can be completed again."

Chairman Joo made these remarks during a meeting with reporters after visiting National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo at the National Assembly. When asked, "If the injunction application by former leader Lee is granted, will the Emergency Response Committee be dissolved?" he responded accordingly. He emphasized, "Yesterday, two lawyers from our legal support team came and reviewed the prepared response letter together. There are absolutely no procedural issues, so I was informed that the injunction will not be accepted."

The Seoul Southern District Court Civil Division 51 (Chief Judge Hwang Jeong-su) is scheduled to hold a hearing at 3 p.m. on the same day regarding the injunction application filed by former leader Lee against the People Power Party and Chairman Joo to suspend the effectiveness of the Emergency Response Committee system.
