HDC Hyundai Development Company recently announced on the 17th that it donated 300 million KRW in flood recovery funds to the Community Chest of Korea to support the restoration of areas affected by the recent heavy rains.
To facilitate the swift recovery of flood-affected areas and support disaster victims, HDC Hyundai Development Company collected a total of 300 million KRW, including 100 million KRW from employee donations and 200 million KRW from the company, and donated it to the Community Chest of Korea.
The 100 million KRW from employee donations was raised through a "spare change sharing" program, where HDC Hyundai Development Company employees contribute less than 10,000 KRW from their monthly salaries. The company added 200 million KRW through a double matching grant. The funds will be used for recovery efforts and support for disaster victims in severely affected areas through the Seoul Community Chest of Korea.
Choi Ik-hoon, CEO of HDC Hyundai Development Company, said, "We hope that those affected by the sudden heavy rains in the central region can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, since 2015, HDC Hyundai Development Company has been conducting the "Love in Action Campaign," where employees voluntarily donate the balance under 10,000 KRW from their monthly net salary, and the company adds a matching grant (the company contributes an amount equal to the employees' donations) to provide support to those in need.
