'Digimon Bread' Also Released... Lotte Confectionery Launches 4 Types Including 'Agumon's Honey Cream Bread'

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Lotte Confectionery announced on the 17th that starting from the 24th, it will launch four types of Digimon bread on its official online mall, 'Lotte Sweet Mall,' and at convenience store Seven Eleven.

After the 24th, from the 31st of this month, Digimon bread will also be sold at Lotte Mart, Lotte Super, and some supermarkets. The Digimon bread lineup consists of four types: ‘Agumon's Honey Cream Bread,’ ‘Tentamon's Savory Peanut Sandwich,’ ‘Padakmon's Marong Hotteok,’ and ‘Papimon's Pineapple Cake.’ Each package contains one of 182 types of Digimon stickers randomly included.

Digimon is short for Digital Monster, an animation that gained great popularity in Korea at the end of 2000. It has recently secured a large fandom comparable to the popular Pok?mon. As specific plans for the product launch were leaked through some distribution channels, Lotte Confectionery decided to announce the release plans in advance.

Lotte Confectionery also plans to hold an event to commemorate the launch of Digimon bread. By using the coupon number printed on the back of the enclosed sticker, customers can obtain items in popular games such as ‘Digimon RPG,’ ‘Digimon Masters,’ and ‘Digimon Super Rumble.’
