Ezra Miller Apologizes for Theft and Assault: "Mental Health Issues... Undergoing Treatment"

Criminal Trial at the Court Next Month

Ezra Miller Apologizes for Theft and Assault: "Mental Health Issues... Undergoing Treatment" Movie still cut from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Ezra Miller, a Hollywood actor facing a criminal trial in the United States, announced on the 16th (local time) that they are undergoing mental health treatment. In an apology statement regarding recent theft and assault incidents, Miller said, "I have recognized that I am experiencing mental health issues during an extremely difficult time and have begun treatment." In May, Miller committed a bizarre act by secretly entering a house in Vermont and drinking several bottles of alcohol. The police charged Miller with theft earlier this month, and the actor will face a criminal trial in court next month.

In March and April, Miller was also involved in disturbances, including assaulting customers at a karaoke bar in Hawaii, resulting in two arrests and release on bail. Recently, Miller has been accused of habitual grooming (acts aimed at sexual exploitation) and assault against minors and women. Miller stated, "I want to apologize to everyone who has felt anxious and angry because of my past behavior."

Miller gained recognition for acting in films such as Kevin H (2011) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012). They rose to prominence playing the DC Comics hero The Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), and Justice League (2017). However, due to recent criminal acts, Miller is facing the greatest crisis of their acting career. The release of the solo starring film The Flash next year is now uncertain.
