산·학·연 협력, 글로벌기업 육성 위해 … Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group Launches New Industry Creation Council After the launch ceremony of the ICC New Industry Creation Council for CV Design, officials are taking a group commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The LINC 3.0 Project Group at Dongseo University recently held the launch ceremonies of the New Industry Creation Council at the Corporate Collaboration Center (ICC) and Dongseo University Design Hall, respectively.


The launch ceremonies were attended by project group officials, ICC center directors, representatives and executives of LINC 3.0 project family companies, local institutions, associations, research institutes, and other stakeholders involved in new industry creation.


The Corporate Collaboration Center of Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group is composed of three sectors: XR (eXtended Reality) Content, CV (Creative Visualization) Design, and DX (Digital Transformation) Tourism.


The center is conducting systematic industry-academia-research cooperation through the ‘4Co Corporate Support System’.


The ‘4Co (Connection, Collaboration, Competitiveness, Co-prosperity) Corporate Support’ is a system for establishing a two-way support ecosystem among industry, academia, and research and for operating systematic corporate support programs.


The project operates various programs tailored to its objectives and matches optimal programs for each company.


The ‘XR Content ICC’ runs various programs to provide students with educational experiences closely linked to the industry to cultivate convergent talents specialized in XR content.


It also operates and supports joint industry-academia technology development and commercialization in the immersive content new industry sector.


The ‘CV Design ICC’ operates various programs to provide students with educational experiences closely linked to the industry to cultivate convergent design talents specialized in meta-technology.


It also operates and supports joint industry-academia educational programs and technology development projects so that students can experience curricula closely connected to the industry.


Additionally, it focuses on creative visualization, including NFT-based design creation copyright and licensing commercialization, NUI/NUX design development for life care, smart space design, and ESG design product development using eco-friendly materials.


The ‘DX Tourism ICC’ nurtures and strengthens the capabilities of convergent talents specialized in digital transformation-based tourism and cultural content.


It operates customized programs to provide educational experiences closely linked to the industry and supports joint industry-academia technology development reflecting the characteristics of DX Tourism ICC.


The launch ceremony of the New Industry Creation Council for XR Content ICC and CV Design ICC included the formation of the council, company introductions, strategies for promoting joint industry-academia technology development projects, and global company cultivation strategies.


The launch ceremony of the New Industry Creation Council for CV Design ICC, held at Dongseo University Jure Campus Design Hall IFS (In-school Field Study), included the formation of the council, sharing of industry-academia cooperation cases in the design field, and introductions of major companies.


The event also included a tour of the newly established art gallery and media wall space at Dongseo University Design Hall.


The launch ceremony for the DX Tourism ICC New Industry Creation Council is scheduled for late August.


Following the launch ceremonies, each New Industry Creation Council plans to hold regular meetings and seminars to expand participating companies, promote meta-technology-based industry-academia-research cooperation, and foster global companies.


Participating companies agreed to collaborate to discover common interest agendas and strengthen shared cooperative activities through the New Industry Creation Council.


The areas of cooperation include ▶promoting joint industry-academia cooperation projects for mutual development ▶creating advanced models for co-growth of local SMEs ▶supporting mentoring by experts in related industries and fields ▶expanding and additionally securing infrastructure through knowledge and technology sharing ▶activating two-way industry-academia cooperation linked with ICC and strengthening participating companies’ technological competitiveness ▶expanding companies’ global market entry ▶contributing to new industry creation in the local community through practical exchanges with universities, local governments, and institutions.
