[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Hanwha Hotels & Resorts announced on the 16th that Hanwha Resort Seorak, Pyeongchang, and Gyeongju, operated by the company, are selling water play packages suitable for late vacations (late summer vacations) until the 31st of this month.
Although this is the first summer vacation season after the With-Corona period, it is not easy to travel anywhere during the peak season at the end of July and early August. To help those preparing for late vacations to avoid soaring prices and inflated fees, Hanwha Resort has prepared packages combining one night’s stay and water play products.
First, Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano offers a package including one night’s stay and two tickets to Waterpia. Seorak Waterpia, which uses natural hot spring water, is popular for its wave pool where you can experience 18 types of waves and various attractions. The Waterpia daytime pass package, available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., is sold from 155,000 KRW with a discount of up to 33%. The night spa operates from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the package price starts at 135,000 KRW.
Hanwha Resort Gyeongju has prepared a package including one night’s stay and two all-day passes to Pororo Aqua Village. Attractions featuring familiar characters like Pororo and Petty, along with various stories, are suitable for children to enjoy. The package can be purchased from 158,000 KRW with a discount of up to 24%. Pororo Aqua Village operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and visitors can use the facility by presenting the mobile notification received upon reservation at the ticket office.
If you are looking for a refreshing vacation spot, Gangwon-do Pyeongchang is perfect. Hanwha Resort Pyeongchang offers a package starting at 149,000 KRW, including one night in a suite room and all-day passes for three people (two adults and one child) to Blue Canyon. Additionally, a four-person package with one extra child is available from 169,000 KRW. Blue Canyon is famous for Korea’s first 140m uphill slide and an extreme river facility with a maximum width of 5m. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
All packages can be purchased through the promotions section on the Hanwha Resort website. A portion of the package proceeds will be donated to a campaign conducted with the UNICEF Korea Committee.
A Hanwha Resort marketing representative said, “This summer peak season saw high reservation rates due to strong demand,” adding, “We have prepared various packages for customers who want to enjoy family trips while avoiding the peak season.”
