Since 1997, Director Yoon has served as the Korean team leader for the Korea-Mongolia joint academic survey project (Mon-Sol Project), conducting archaeological excavations of Xiongnu sites such as 'Morintolgoi' and 'Hodgintolgoi.' He also planned and promoted special exhibitions like 'Five Years of Mongolian Site Surveys' and international academic symposiums such as 'The Great Empire of the Steppe - Xiongnu.' Furthermore, he published specialized research works on Mongolia and Central Asia, including 'Collection of Mongolian Xiongnu Tomb Data' and 'Introduction to Xiongnu Archaeology,' which have broadened the research horizons of Korean archaeologists.
