Goheung-gun Launches Selection of Unique "Goheung Matjip" Restaurants

Selection of 30 Goheung Restaurants, Applications Accepted Until September 1

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Jeong-woo] Jeonnam Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it is recruiting the 2nd term of "Goheung Matjip" representing Goheung-gun until September 1.

The eligibility for application is restaurants (including bakeries and cafes) that have been operating normally for more than one year after business registration. However, franchise stores, liquor specialty stores, businesses that have received administrative sanctions such as suspension of business for violating the Food Sanitation Act within the past year, and businesses that have had more than two complaints in the past two years are excluded.

Since 2020, Goheung-gun has selected and supported distinctive restaurants by discovering 58 establishments in the 1st term and producing a "Matjido" (Taste Map) introducing tourist spots and restaurants, actively promoting them to tourists.

This 2nd term Goheung Matjip plans to select an additional 30 places.

Selected Goheung Matjip through the first document screening and second on-site evaluation will be granted various benefits such as designation plaques, inclusion in the Matjido, and promotional materials support.

Businesses wishing to apply can fill out the application form posted on the Goheung-gun website and apply by mail or email, or visit the Goheung-gun Office Tourism Policy Office to submit it.

A Goheung-gun official said, "The selection of Goheung Matjip will greatly contribute to improving the friendliness and hygiene level of restaurants and revitalizing the local economy through food tourism by selecting and promoting distinctive restaurants in Goheung-gun. We ask for your great interest and participation."
