[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] On the 16th, Hyosung donated 300 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross to support flood victims affected by the heavy rain in the central region.
The donation was jointly prepared by the holding company Hyosung Corporation and its four business subsidiaries: Hyosung TNC, Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyosung Advanced Materials, and Hyosung Chemical.
The funds will be used through the Korean Red Cross to aid recovery efforts and support displaced residents in severely affected areas such as Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Chungcheong due to the recent heavy rain.
Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon said, “I hope this contribution can provide some help to the residents and relief workers affected by the sudden heavy rain in the central region.”
Hyosung previously donated 300 million KRW in March to support recovery from wildfires in Gangwon Province, and in 2020, it contributed 500 million KRW to overcome COVID-19.
