Lotte Chilsung's 'Cheoeum Cheoreom PET' Selected as Excellent Design Product

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 16th that its 'Cheoeum Cheoreom' PET product was selected as an Excellent Design (GD) product in the package design category of the '2021 Good Design Korea.'


The selection of excellent design products in the 2021 Good Design Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, has been conducted annually since 1985 based on the Industrial Design Promotion Act. Through a fair evaluation process, the GD symbol, a government certification mark, is awarded to products with outstanding design.


The design concept of the Cheoeum Cheoreom PET product is 'a soft soju that knows Korean elegance.' The product container features a label that intuitively expresses the pure image of Daegwallyeong bedrock water, and to harmonize with Korean aesthetics, soft curves inspired by Korean ceramics are attractively depicted.


The surface of the container replicates the texture naturally created when shaping ceramics by hand, conveying a soft and warm touch. At the top of the product, a silver-gray bottle cap conveys to consumers the meaning that 'the water is different,' expressing the product's reliability and luxury. For the socially vulnerable, such as the visually impaired, braille is included on the PET top according to standard specifications to help recognize the product.
