September 14-28: Jointly Hosted by 6 Universities, 36 Job-Related Public Institutions and Local Governments in the Province
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The '2022 Gangwon Job Fair,' the largest job festival at the metropolitan level, will be held from September 14 to 28 at online platforms including the metaverse and four offline venues by region.
From September 15 for three days, the first university alliance 'Metaverse Fair' will be held, involving students from six universities?Gangwon National University, Hallym University, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Yonsei University, Halla University, and Catholic Kwandong University?as well as local youth.
In particular, at the opening ceremony (September 15), a live PR public employment audition called 'SHOW ME THE 내일(job)' will be held featuring talented individuals who passed preliminary rounds from the six universities. On-site evaluations by HR managers and prize awards will be given to outstanding talents.
Meanwhile, offline fairs will continue at four locations: Hoengseong National Sports Center (September 14), Gangneung Ice Arena (September 19), Chuncheon Nonghyup Agricultural and Marine Products Distribution Center (September 23), and Wonju National Sports Center (September 28).
Hosted by Gangwon Province, this fair involves a total of 37 organizations, including 16 public institutions and universities, and 18 cities and counties, with sponsorship from two financial institutions.
The fair aims to attract participation from 150 companies and about 20,000 job seekers, including university students and graduates within the province, students from specialized high schools and polytechnic colleges, and soldiers scheduled for discharge.
During the fair period, a continuous online recruitment market will be operated for three weeks through the job-specialized platform 'Gangwon Job Information Network.'
Park Gwang-yong, CEO of the Gangwon Job Foundation, said, "The integrated 2022 Gangwon Job Fair, now in its second year, will see an expansion in the scale of participating organizations and budget, and will offer a more diverse range of programs." He added, "We plan to promote the perception of September every year as 'Gangwon Province Job Week.'"
