Police Plan to Request Arrest Warrant
On the 15th in Incheon, a man in his 30s wearing an electronic ankle bracelet was arrested by the police after attempting and failing to sexually assault a cafe employee.

On the 15th, the Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon announced that they apprehended a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of robbery and attempted rape at around 8:40 p.m. on the rooftop of an apartment building in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, and he is currently under investigation.
Mr. A is accused of breaking into a cafe in Gyeyang-gu at approximately 4:04 p.m. that day, sexually harassing a female employee in her 30s, Ms. B, and attempting to rape her. He is also charged with threatening Ms. B with a weapon to steal money.
It is understood that Mr. A fled when an acquaintance of Ms. B entered the cafe during the crime.
Mr. A, who had a prior record of sex crimes, was wearing a location tracking electronic device (electronic ankle bracelet), but reportedly cut it off and escaped during his flight.
The police tracked Mr. A using nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and arrested him on the rooftop of a building in Gyeyang-gu at around 8:40 p.m. on the 15th, four hours after the report.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident and plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
