Suspicious Fire Death Under Police Investigation At around 9:04 PM on the 15th, a fire broke out in a van parked in an empty lot in Gangseo-gu, Busan, prompting firefighters to carry out extinguishing operations. After the fire was put out, a man in his 60s was found dead in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A mysterious incident occurred in which a man in his 60s died inside a van that caught fire while parked, prompting the police to launch an investigation.


According to the Gangseo Police Station in Busan on the 16th, an unknown fire broke out in a Carnival van in an empty lot next to a gas station in Daejeo 1-dong, Gangseo-gu, at 9:04 PM on the 15th.


Firefighters who responded to a nearby resident's report extinguished the fire around 9:28 PM after about 20 minutes, and upon completing the extinguishing, they searched inside the vehicle and found Mr. A deceased in the passenger seat.


The Carnival vehicle was completely burned, and part of a tanker truck parked next to it was also destroyed by the fire.


The Gangseo Police Station's criminal duty team plans to conduct a joint inspection and investigate the circumstances of the death with the bereaved family and others.
