[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk, participated in the "7th Korea International Tourism Expo (Korea Bangbanggokgok Travel Expo)" held for four days from the 11th to the 14th at Ilsan KINTEX, introducing Pohang's unique charm to potential tourists nationwide.
The Pohang promotional booth showcased a Pohang tourism promotional video and set up a photo zone themed "Pohang, a city where every moment is like a drama." Various programs such as official SNS subscription events and sending tourist postcards were operated to capture the attention of visitors.
The city actively promoted Pohang's unique attractions, including filming locations of tvN's "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" (2021) and KBS's "When the Camellia Blooms" (2019), the nationally famous Space Walk and Marine Skywalk, as well as marine sports available in Pohang such as surfing, kayaking, and yachting. It also introduced distinctive festivals held in the second half of the year, such as the Pohang International Fireworks Festival and the Steel Art Festival.
A visitor to the Pohang tourism promotional booth said, "Many new tourist spots have emerged, so the image of Pohang seems very different from when I visited 10 years ago," adding, "I plan to travel during the holidays in the second half of the year, and I look forward to visiting the newly changed Pohang."
