Loan up to 200 million KRW and special guarantees for SMEs & 2 million KRW payment to affected small business owners... Survey of flood-affected households eligible for disaster relief housing flood victims provided with sterilization and quarantine disinfection kits
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) has launched an all-out response to help residents affected by the record-breaking heavy rain.
First, Guro-gu will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners who suffered damage from the flood disaster.
The ‘Special Loan Fund for SMEs’ offers up to 200 million KRW per company, with a fixed interest rate of 2%.
To reduce the burden on businesses, a ‘Special Guarantee’ is also provided. The guarantee ratio is 100%, and the guarantee fee rate is a fixed 0.5% per year (0.1% in case of special disasters). Only the first review is conducted according to the special guarantee screening criteria, and the guarantee limit is up to 200 million KRW per company. For small business owners in traditional markets, shopping districts, factories, etc., an ‘Emergency Restoration Fund’ of 2 million KRW per site will be provided based on flood damage site surveys.
Additionally, the district plans to provide a ‘Housing Flood Disaster Relief Fund’ to households affected by flooding. To this end, all public officials except essential personnel are visiting flooded households to assess the damage status.
Along with this, an investigation of households experiencing power outages due to flooding will be conducted, and emergency restoration will be implemented.
Those wishing to receive various disaster relief funds must apply within 10 days from the end of the disaster period. For detailed information on application methods and required documents, please contact the local community service center in your area.
Also, 16 teams of the Dong Saemaeul Disinfection Corps and the public health center have formed disinfection teams to carry out disinfection and sterilization. They will visit flooded households directly to perform spray sterilization and distribute disinfection kits and sterilizers.
Using disinfection vehicles, fogging disinfection will be conducted in evacuation shelters for disaster victims and flood-vulnerable areas, and mosquito larva control work will be carried out in sewers and rainwater drains.
A Guro-gu official stated, “We will do our best to complete flood recovery quickly and help residents return to their daily lives as soon as possible,” adding, “We will maintain a real-time response system to promptly prepare for crisis situations and prevent additional damage.”
