Wife Arrested for Attempting to Kill Husband with a Weapon After Coming Home Drunk

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A wife who stabbed her husband with a weapon in an attempt to kill him after arguing because he came home drunk was arrested by the police.

On the 13th, the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul announced that they apprehended a woman in her 50s, identified as A, on suspicion of attempted murder at 11:58 p.m. the previous day.

A is accused of arguing with her husband B, also in his 50s, who came home drunk at 11:41 p.m. the previous day at their residence in Galhyeon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu. During the argument, A allegedly stabbed B in the abdomen with a weapon in an attempt to kill him.

The police responded to the report and arrested A at the scene. B sustained serious injuries but is reported to be in stable condition.

A police official stated, "It seems unlikely that she will be released, and after the investigation, we plan to request an arrest warrant."
