[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok will hold a press conference on the 13th.
This comes just over a month after he was suspended from party membership for six months by the party's Central Ethics Committee on the 8th of last month.
On the previous day, Lee posted on Facebook, "From now until tomorrow's press conference, I will turn off my phone. Please don't worry; nothing is wrong."
On the 10th, Lee had taken legal actions such as filing an injunction in protest against the Emergency Response Committee system. Therefore, it is expected that he will express his opinions and future responses regarding this at the press conference. With the party's transition to the Emergency Response Committee system, Lee was automatically dismissed.
On the 11th, he posted a photo of a banner on the collapsed building's exterior wall that read "Our Restaurant is Open as Usual," along with the message "It takes 2 years to build, 2 weeks to collapse," likely sending a warning message to President Yoon Seok-yeol and his close aides.
The location and time of the press conference have not yet been disclosed. A representative from Lee's side stated, "We plan to announce the location in the morning."
