“We Can Read Too!” ... Ulju-gun Southern Integrated Health Center Produces Multilingual Maternal and Child Health Project Notices Health Care Guide for Mothers and Babies Produced in Four Languages.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Nambu Integrated Health Center in Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, has produced a multilingual maternal and child health project brochure titled "Health Management for Mothers and Babies" in four languages.


This multilingual brochure is designed to provide smooth information to multicultural families who face difficulties in accessing health benefits due to language barriers, enabling them to conveniently use health services.


The brochure is available in Korean, English, Chinese, and Vietnamese, and provides information on ▲pre-parent health checkups ▲pregnant women registration management ▲nutritional supplement support ▲transportation expense support for prenatal care, including necessary documents and eligibility criteria.


The Nambu Integrated Health Center plans to distribute the multilingual brochures to related organizations such as the Ulju-gun Family Center and the Ulju-gun Childcare Support Center, and will also place them in the civil service area within the center.


Director Jonghee Lee of the center said, "I hope that through the multilingual brochure, multicultural families will receive the necessary benefits and lead healthy family lives," adding, "We will continue to promote health projects in line with the increasing trend of multicultural families to help them settle as healthy members of the local community."


In addition to health project guidance, the Nambu Integrated Health Center provides free health checkups, home health care, and nutritional counseling for multicultural families.
