A-Route Reports 64% Increase in First Half Sales Compared to Previous Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] A-Root announced on the 12th that its separate basis cumulative sales for the first half of this year reached 28.8 billion KRW, a 64.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit and net profit for the same period maintained a positive trend at 1.3 billion KRW and 2.5 billion KRW, respectively.

On a consolidated basis, sales increased by 53.2% year-on-year to 31.6 billion KRW, with operating profit and net profit recorded at 85 million KRW and 1.6 billion KRW, respectively.

A-Root explained that its improved performance was due to increased sales of POS and mobile printers, along with the success of the e-commerce business it newly entered last year.

A-Root supplies POS printers to major domestic POS companies as well as overseas firms. New sales are being generated from label printers that support electronic tag (RFID) functionality.

An A-Root official stated, "It is significant that we maintained a profit trend despite rapidly changing external market conditions such as rising raw material prices caused by the logistics crisis and the Ukraine war."

He added, "Printer demand is increasing in most regions worldwide, and related sales are steadily growing."

Recently, A-Root selected Samjong KPMG as an advisory firm for the sale of Woojin Precision. According to industry sources, the discussed sale price of Woojin Precision is around 400 billion KRW. A-Root holds a 62.7% stake in Woojin Precision.
