[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] The Korea Exchange announced that it will begin open recruitment for new employees starting from the 12th.

This recruitment plans to hire approximately 48 regular employees, considering the manpower needs of the Korea Exchange. The recruitment fields are ▲ Business/Economics ▲ Law ▲ Mathematics/Statistics ▲ IT, totaling four categories. There are no restrictions on academic background or major. However, to verify minimum language proficiency as global talents, the same standard scores as last year (e.g., TOEIC 750 points) will be evaluated. Applicants who do not meet the required scores can still apply.

Applications are accepted until 6 PM on August 30. Afterward, written exams (September 24) and first and second interviews will be conducted, with final successful candidates announced in December. The written exams will be held in both Seoul and Busan for the convenience of applicants. The Korea Exchange added that the recruitment schedule may be partially changed depending on the government's COVID-19 response policies.

The Korea Exchange plans to maintain a competency-based recruitment approach and the regional talent recruitment quota system in this recruitment as well. Accordingly, if the number of successful regional candidates falls short of the target ratio (25%) at each selection stage, additional successful candidates beyond the quota will be accepted to fill the shortfall. Also, if the number of regional talents among the final interview passers is below the target ratio, a certain proportion of regional talents will be additionally accepted.

A Korea Exchange official stated, "To prevent COVID-19, we will thoroughly implement disinfection, mask-wearing compliance, fever checks, and deployment of specialized personnel to ensure the safety of the examination venues."
