[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Woori Financial Group announced on the 12th that it opened the group's 'Integrated Payment Platform' to secure competitiveness in the rapidly growing simple payment market and to enhance synergy among its subsidiaries.
The platform, jointly developed by Woori Bank and Woori Card, is an advanced version of the existing Woori Pay service, characterized by its openness that allows anyone to use it easily and by significantly enhanced convenience of simple payments.
First, individual customers who do not have a Woori Bank account or Woori Card can use the group integrated payment platform as a simple payment method through Woori Bank's Woori WON Banking or Woori Card applications.
Additionally, the 'Yonsei Pay' service, which incorporates simple payment and simple remittance services into the Yonsei University student ID application, was officially launched. This service provides payment infrastructure to corporations that found it difficult to build their own payment systems, supporting B2B2C (Business to Business to Customer) partners in implementing payment services under their own brands. In the future, the platform will be customized for each company partnered with Woori Financial to continuously offer various payment services.
A Woori Financial Group official stated, "Chairman Sohn Tae-seung emphasized strengthening the core competitiveness of subsidiaries and enhancing group synergy as tasks for the second half of this year," adding, "With the launch of this integrated payment platform, we will improve customer convenience, strengthen competitiveness in the simple payment market, and greatly contribute to expanding new customers."
