Dong-Eui University Taekwondo athletes are taking a group commemorative photo after receiving awards.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui University swept both first and second place in the women's university division team sparring at the 20th Korea Women's Taekwondo Federation President's Cup National Taekwondo Competition.
Dong-Eui University won first place in the women's university division team sparring event held from August 3 to 10 at Hwacheon Gymnasium in Gangwon Province.
In the final match, Dong-Eui University A team, affiliated with the Sports Promotion Group, faced Dong-Eui University B team from the Taekwondo Department, with Dong-Eui University A team winning 54-13 to claim the championship.
In the women's university individual division, Minhee Chae in the -49kg category won the gold medal by consecutively defeating Chaehee Lim from Woosuk University in the quarterfinals, Byeori An from Yongin University in the semifinals, and Sumin Kim from Chosun University in the final.
Additionally, Gahyun Kim in the -67kg category and Joohyun Cho in the -73kg category took second place, while Nayeon Lee in the -62kg category and Dahyun Kang in the -67kg category finished in third place.
