KB Sonbo, Emergency On-Site Compensation Service Operated in Areas Affected by Heavy Rainfall

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] KB Insurance announced on the 11th that it has set up the ‘KB Insurance Emergency Disaster Support Headquarters’ at the Seoul Grand Park public parking lot in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, to quickly assist customers whose vehicles were damaged by flooding due to the heavy rain in the metropolitan area from the 8th to the 9th, and is providing emergency on-site compensation services.

Due to the record-breaking heavy rain in the metropolitan area, the non-life insurance industry reported a total of approximately 7,600 vehicles damaged, with losses amounting to about 100 billion KRW as of the 10th.

Accordingly, KB Insurance established the Emergency Disaster Support Headquarters on the 10th to tow flooded vehicles to safe locations for management and care.

Additionally, the company is providing on-site compensation services that include guidance on insurance claims, issuance of necessary documents, and photographing damaged vehicles to ensure prompt payment of insurance benefits to customers affected by flooding.

Customers wishing to receive this service should bring their car keys, vehicle registration certificates, and identification cards and visit the ‘KB Insurance Emergency Disaster Support Headquarters’ set up at the Seoul Grand Park public parking lot.

A KB Insurance official stated, “We established the Emergency Disaster Support Headquarters to help customers recover quickly from the damage caused by the heavy rain,” and added, “We hope all damages will be restored promptly so that customers can regain their precious daily lives as soon as possible.”
