GS Caltex Yeosu Plant Holds ‘Bokdalim Event’ in Samildong to Wish Health for Seniors

Delivering Sincerity While Touring 20 Senior Centers in the District

[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] GS Caltex Yeosu Plant (hereinafter GS Caltex) visited Samildong Community Center on the 10th to celebrate Malbok, sponsoring food worth about 5 million won for the elderly, including 72 boxes of rice cakes and 54 watermelons.

The sponsored food was carefully delivered by about 10 people, including GS Caltex employees, the Samildong Regional Development Council, and the head of Samildong, while touring 20 local senior centers.

A GS Caltex official said, "We hold this event every year with the hope that the elderly will overcome the heat well during Malbok," adding, "We hope this brings some comfort to the elderly who are feeling frustrated due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the heatwave."
