Myongji University Hosts 'MJ Teacher Conference' for Career and Academic Counseling Teachers Nationwide

Myongji University (President Yoo Byung-jin) held the ‘MJ Teacher Conference’ on the 9th (Tuesday) and 10th (Wednesday) at the Stanford Hotel in Mapo-gu, Seoul.


Hosted by the Talent Discovery Team of Myongji University Admissions Office, the ‘MJ Teacher Conference’ was organized to enhance high school teachers’ understanding of Myongji University’s comprehensive student record admission process.


A total of 60 high school career and college counseling teachers participated in this conference, which consisted of theoretical guidance on Myongji University’s comprehensive student record admission, understanding of evaluation recruitment units, and a mock document evaluation session. Additionally, time was allocated to explore information exchange and career education directions between high schools and universities following the introduction of the high school credit system.


As part of the 2022 University Contribution to High School Education Support Project, Myongji University held the 7th MJ Teacher Conference. Lee Jeong-hwan, Director of the Admissions Office at Myongji University, said, “Through this conference, which provides guidance and practical opportunities regarding our university’s comprehensive student record admission, we hope to enhance the transparency and reliability of the admission process. We also expect that the time spent reflecting on and sharing the high school credit system will help strengthen teachers’ professionalism and capabilities in career and college guidance.” He added, “Going forward, Myongji University will continue to strive to build a stronger information-sharing and cooperation system with high schools.”


Meanwhile, the Talent Discovery Team of Myongji University Admissions Office is conducting evaluation expertise training for appointed and full-time evaluators to operate a fair and transparent admission process. They are also successfully running programs such as MJ Major Experience, MJ Mock Admission, MJ Teacher Conference for teachers, and MJ College Admission Forum for high school students, contributing to enhancing Myongji University’s educational image.
