[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] CJ Foodville's Tous Les Jours announced on the 11th that the sales of its 'Salt Butter Roll' have been continuously soaring, with an average monthly sales of over 270,000 units in the past three months.
Launched in October last year, the Salt Butter Roll's current sales have increased more than 2.9 times compared to its first month. This surpasses the sales volume of Tous Les Jours' steady seller, the 'Soboro Bread.'
The Salt Butter Roll is a representative product of the 'Gojjan Gojjan' (savory and salty taste) category, featuring a perfect harmony of rich butter flavor and savory pearl salt. It is characterized by its unique flavor combination achieved using a self-developed secret ingredient, 'Rice Fermentation Sugar,' which provides a mild and subtle taste derived from natural sugars, along with French butter.
Tous Les Jours explained, "The reason the Salt Butter Roll is loved is undoubtedly the taste quality pursued through 'bread made with good ingredients,'" adding, "Another factor of its popularity is that trendy products can be easily purchased at familiar and comfortable Tous Les Jours stores."
