[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On the 10th, Park Hong-geun, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and other party leaders visited the temporary shelter in the gymnasium of Guryong Middle School, where flood victims from Guryong Village in Gangnam-gu had gathered, to console the victims. The Democratic Party listened directly to the affected residents and took steps to find solutions at the National Assembly level.

At the same time, the People Power Party held an emergency party-government meeting to prepare flood countermeasures. The meeting was attended by Moon Byung-kyu, Director of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, and Kim Ju-hyun, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, to discuss budget support, loans for victims, and additional measures to prevent further damage.
