[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Mapo Cultural Foundation unveiled two illustrated posters depicting the setting of the original musical 'First Love' on the 10th.

The musical 'First Love' is the first original musical produced since the founding of the Mapo Cultural Foundation. It captures the purest and most thrilling moment of life through lyrical poetry and the beautiful melodies of Korean art songs.

This work is composed of art pop songs by composer Kim Hyogeun, who gained attention with the YouTube hit 'My Soul Becomes the Wind' with 7.6 million views, as well as familiar songs to the public such as 'First Love,' 'Snow,' and 'Even If Life Deceives You.'

Musical actors Yoon Youngseok, Jo Soonchang, Byun Heesang, Kim Jihoon, and Yang Ji-won perform to portray those shining moments everyone cherishes.

The production was a collaboration between writer-director Oh Sehyuk, who has worked on various productions including the musicals 'Rachmaninoff,' 'The Brothers Karamazov,' and the play 'Press Guidelines,' and music director Lee Jinwook.

The released illustrated posters feature key scenes from the work, including the Myeongdong street where the male and female leads meet and the seaside where the protagonists watch the sunrise together.

Prior to the opening, the Mapo Cultural Foundation is also holding a 'Find Your First Love' event. Those who post certification photos of the First Love posters, including the illustrated versions, on SNS from the foundation’s SNS, cafes in Mapo-gu, subway stations, daily newspapers, Daehangno, and Mapo-gu Office bulletin boards will be entered into a draw to win opportunities to attend the performance.

The production will be performed four times over three days from September 2 to 4 at the reopened Mapo Art Center Art Hall Mac.
