[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) signed a business agreement with Busan Nam-gu Office on the 9th to improve the living environment of vulnerable groups in the region.

The signing ceremony held in the director's office on the 2nd floor of Nam-gu Office was attended by Kang Bu-won, Vice President of Busan Port Authority, and Oh Eun-taek, Mayor of Busan Nam-gu.

Through the business agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly promote the "Hope UP Project," which improves the residential environment of vulnerable groups in the region.

The "Hope UP Project" is a project aimed at creating a safe and clean living environment for low-income families in Busan Nam-gu by supporting home environment improvements such as wallpapering and flooring, as well as providing home appliances tailored to the needs of vulnerable groups.

Since 2021, BPA has been continuously expanding agreements with local governments near the port to support vulnerable groups through the "Visiting Social Contribution Project Near the Port."

This agreement was promoted to expand the scope of the project due to positive responses from the local community to the "Visiting Social Contribution Project Near the Port."

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said, "Through this agreement, the two organizations will create synergy and strive to improve the quality of life of marginalized neighbors," and added, "BPA will continue to lead ESG management and carry out various social contribution activities as a company that coexists with the local community."
