Thanks to the 'Gumyeongjokki'... A man in his 20s drifting at sea safely rescued by Changwon Coast Guard Gyeongnam Changwon Maritime Police rescuing a person in distress drifting at sea off Jangmok-myeon, Geoje-si.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 9th, a man in his 20s who was drifting at sea was safely rescued thanks to wearing a life jacket.


According to Changwon Coast Guard Station, at around 3:42 PM that day, Mr. A, who was enjoying water activities at Dumo Beach in Jangmok-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongnam, went swimming alone to find a drifting tube and got separated from his group, drifting away.


The Changwon Coast Guard dispatched patrol vessels, coastal rescue boats from the local police station, and the Changwon rescue team after receiving a report from an acquaintance who realized Mr. A was missing.


The Coast Guard searched the accident area and found Mr. A around 4:05 PM, rescuing him. They reported that Mr. A was in good health.


A Coast Guard official said, "Because he was wearing a life jacket, he was able to hold on until the Coast Guard arrived, saving a precious life," and added, "We hope everyone wears a life jacket before engaging in water activities."
