China's cumulative sales surpass 300 million units, Vietnam secures market position within one year through rigorous quality control
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Orion announced on the 9th that its jelly brand 'My Gummy' is capturing the tastes of Asian consumers, with significant sales growth not only in Korea but also in China and Vietnam.
According to Orion, the total cumulative sales of the My Gummy brand in Korea and China until July this year reached 16 billion KRW and 25.5 billion KRW respectively, marking a 65% and 62% increase compared to the same period last year, achieving record-high sales in both countries during the same period.
In Vietnam, where My Gummy was launched in July last year, cumulative sales in the first half of this year reached 4.8 billion KRW. Considering that the actual price level difference between Korea and Vietnam is about 3 to 4 times, Orion analyzed that this is a remarkably high sales achievement in a short period.
An Orion official said, "The secret to our popularity lies in developing products that differentiate in shape and taste based on Orion's unique jelly manufacturing know-how accumulated over 30 years, satisfying both consumers' eyes and taste buds simultaneously," adding, "We will nurture My Gummy as the representative K-jelly brand in the jelly market, where fierce competition with leading global brands is ongoing."
