Happy Journey with Multicultural Neighbors... Yeongcheon-si Family Center Implements 'Housing Environment Improvement Project' The Family Center in Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongbuk, carried out a housing environment improvement project for multicultural families.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] The Family Center in Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongbuk, carried out a housing environment improvement project for multicultural families.

On the 7th, more than 30 local volunteers gathered at a multicultural family home in Daechang-myeon to undertake housing environment maintenance.

The housing environment improvement project for multicultural case management households is part of "Our Dreaming Home," which renovates and repairs houses with aging or collapse risks to provide a stable living environment.

The funding was provided by the monthly magazine "Bit" of the Daegu Catholic Social Welfare Foundation and donations from the Yeongcheon Star Lions Club, and the house renovation and repair were carried out as talent donations by the 27 Sanarae Volunteer Group and the Byeolbithoe Volunteer Group.

Before the house renovation and repair on that day, volunteers took the lead in practicing neighborly love by organizing, tidying, and cleaning the house despite the hot weather.

Choi Ki-moon, mayor of Yeongcheon-si, said, "Thank you for working together with one heart and shedding sweat for our local neighbors even in the heatwave," and added, "We will make more efforts to support the stable settlement of multicultural families and marriage immigrants in the future."
