[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 8th, the Administrative Welfare Center of Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, conducted training to strengthen the capacity of the community social welfare civilian safety net and a summer season welfare blind spot discovery campaign.
The training to strengthen the capacity of the civilian safety net is a region-customized educational project aimed at revitalizing resident-autonomous public services. It was held under the theme "The Role of the Civilian Social Welfare Safety Net to Practice Resident-led Village Welfare through Public-Private Cooperation" at the auditorium on the 2nd floor of Gadong Elementary School.
About 70 participants attended the training, including members of the local community security council, village welfare discovery teams, and honorary social welfare officers.
After the training, about 50 people participated in the summer season welfare blind spot discovery campaign.
The campaign was conducted mainly in the central shopping district of Jeonggwan-eup, where there is a large floating population, with the purpose of raising social interest in marginalized neighbors, discovering welfare crisis households, and preventing solitary deaths of isolated households.
Jeong Jong-bok, the mayor of Gijang-gun, said, "We will continue to strive to create 'Gijang-gun, a city embracing happiness, opening the future, and a city where everyone is happy' through a dense welfare system without solitary deaths and welfare blind spots."
An honorary social welfare officer who attended the training said, "The training was an opportunity to once again realize the role of the civilian safety net," and added, "It was a valuable time to consider future tasks based on public-private cooperation."
