‘Geoje 2nd I-Park’ forms a large-scale I-Park brand town with a total of 2,274 units together with the nearby ‘Geoje I-Park’ which has 995 units. This has established it as a landmark in the region and it is quite popular among local residents. HDC Hyundai Development Company, the contractor, is a major construction company ranked among the top 10 in the ‘2022 Construction Company Contract Ranking’.

The most notable aspect is the future value of Geoje-si. The Southern Inland Railway (Western Gyeongnam KTX Station), with a total national budget of 4.8015 trillion KRW, is actively being promoted with a target opening in 2027. This project involves building a 177.9 km railway connecting Gimcheon and Geoje, and upon completion, it is expected to reduce travel time between Seoul and Geoje to about 2 hours and 50 minutes.

The confirmation of the Tongyeong?Daejeon Expressway Geoje extension is also a positive development. This project, with an investment of 1.8881 trillion KRW, will connect a 30.5 km four-lane road from Yongnam-myeon, Tongyeong-si to Yeoncho-myeon, Geoje-si. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in February, this extension project was included in the ‘2nd Expressway Construction Plan’.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in February, the confirmation of the Tongyeong?Daejeon Expressway Geoje extension, a long-awaited project for Geoje-si, was included in the ‘2nd Expressway Construction Plan.’ This project involves an investment of 1.8881 trillion KRW to connect a 30.5 km four-lane road from Yongnam-myeon, Tongyeong-si to Yeoncho-myeon, Geoje-si.

‘Geoje 2nd I-Park’ benefits from the demand generated by the shipbuilding industry, which is a source of pride for Geoje-si. Via National Road No. 14 located near the complex, residents can reach Okpo National Industrial Complex (with 33,587 employees), where Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering’s Okpo Shipyard is located, and Jukdo National Industrial Complex (with 32,866 employees), where Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje Shipyard is located, within about 10 minutes.

According to Geoje-si on the 5th, the ‘Okpo National Industrial Complex’ and the nearby 14.07 km maritime area have been designated as the 7th Regulatory Free Zone by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The Regulatory Free Zone is an area where new business-related regulations faced by regions and companies are temporarily waived or exempted under the ‘Korean-style Regulatory Sandbox,’ allowing for demonstration and commercialization without regulatory constraints.

The living infrastructure available to residents of ‘Geoje 2nd I-Park’ is well established. Through Geoje Jungang-ro, residents can enjoy shopping, cultural, and public services such as Hanaro Mart, Geoje Sports Complex, Geoje City Hall, Homeplus Geoje Branch, Geobung Paik Hospital, and Geoje Prisoner of War Camp Historical Park.

The complex boasts a nature-friendly residential environment. Surrounded by mountains and close to Mundong Reservoir, residents can enjoy a healing lifestyle by taking walks in the waterside park near their homes.

The I-Park brand’s unique floor plan design, considerate of residents, also stands out. The complex is primarily oriented southward for all units and incorporates 4Bay and slab-type structures that provide excellent lighting and ventilation. The master bedroom includes a dressing room, and the kitchen features a pantry space, offering ample storage. Most kitchen layouts are designed in a ‘ㄷ’ (U) shape to reduce work flow. Alpha rooms and movable walls allow for flexible space configurations tailored to residents’ lifestyles.

A sales representative stated, “Geoje 2nd I-Park belongs to a large-scale brand town and embraces the abundant future value of Geoje-si, making it a complex with promising prospects. Since the units available are company-owned and ready for immediate move-in, with benefits such as free interior repairs, it is expected to be highly popular.”
