Gwangju Police Agency Selects Bitgoeul's Top Regional Police Officers

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 8th that it awarded certificates and badges to personnel selected as Bitgoeul Euddeum Community Police Officers for the second quarter of this year.


Lieutenant Kim Byeong-nam of Suwan Precinct and Sergeant Oh In-su of Cheomdan Precinct at Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju were selected as Bitgoeul Euddeum Community Police Officers after receiving high scores in the number of 112 emergency call dispatches and various exemplary cases.


The Bitgoeul Euddeum Community Police Officer system was first implemented last year to boost the morale of field officers. It selects and awards two officers quarterly from a total of 1,293 community police officers belonging to 40 district and branch police stations under the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency.


Im Yong-hwan, Chief of the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency, praised the hard work of the community police officers who tirelessly serve on the front lines and urged them to continue their best efforts to establish a safe and happy community for residents.


Meanwhile, the second quarter Bitgoeul Euddeum Patrol Teams, selected based on evaluations of patrol team teamwork, were Team 1 of Hwajeong Precinct at Seobu Police Station and Team 1 of Hakseo Police Box at Dongbu Police Station.
