[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The Democratic Party of Korea announced on the 8th that it will file a complaint with the prosecution against Prime Minister Han Deok-su on charges of abuse of authority.


Representative Kim Seung-won and spokesperson Cho Oh-seop visited the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office at 11 a.m. on the same day on behalf of the Democratic Party to file a complaint against Prime Minister Han for abuse of authority. After the emergency committee meeting, Cho Oh-seop, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, told reporters, "We plan to file a complaint on charges of abuse of authority related to political retaliation investigations and targeting agency heads."


Earlier, Woo Sang-ho, chairman of the Democratic Party's emergency committee, said at the Political Retaliation Investigation Countermeasures Committee on the 1st, "After legal review, the Democratic Party has begun considering filing complaints against those involved, including Prime Minister Han, who are suspected of abuse of authority." Chairman Woo added, "Despite repeated warnings, the administration has not stopped the political retaliation investigations and is rather expanding them."


On the 3rd, he also said on a radio broadcast, "Isn't Prime Minister Han the one who made the KDI president step down?" and added, "We are preparing to file complaints against several related individuals, including the Prime Minister, who committed the same criminal acts."
