[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Son Seon-hee] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho said on the 8th, "We will announce additional measures this week, including Chuseok livelihood stabilization measures and plans to realize national housing stability."
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Choo presided over an emergency economic ministers' meeting at the Government Seoul Office and said, "High inflation continues with July prices recording over 6% for two consecutive months, and uncertainties in growth are expanding mainly in exports and investment."
He added, "While prioritizing price and livelihood stabilization, we will also simultaneously promote efforts to revitalize the private economy," emphasizing, "We will swiftly implement the eight previously announced price and livelihood measures."
Along with this, Deputy Prime Minister Choo said, "To enhance private economic vitality, we will promptly resolve corporate difficulties such as regulations, labor shortages, and financing, and prepare export revitalization plans in a short time," adding, "Starting with semiconductors announced last month, we will sequentially prepare industry-specific support strategies to actively support export and investment expansion."
