[Daily Fund Trends] Equity Funds See Sharp Inflow... 111.9 Billion KRW Net Outflow


[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] A total of 111.9 billion KRW was withdrawn from equity funds in a single day.


According to the Korea Financial Investment Association on the 8th, as of the 4th, 111.9 billion KRW was net withdrawn from equity funds. Most of the outflow came from Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). ETFs saw a net outflow of 64.3 billion KRW. This marks a significant outflow from equity funds in about a month since the net outflow of 123.9 billion KRW on the 1st of last month. On the 4th, the KOSPI and KOSDAQ rose by 0.47% and 1.20%, respectively.


By investment destination, 64.4 billion KRW and 47.5 billion KRW were withdrawn from domestic equity funds. Excluding ETFs, 1.5 billion KRW and 46.1 billion KRW moved to other investment destinations, respectively.

In bond funds, including ETFs, 2.9 billion KRW was recorded as inflow, but excluding ETFs, 2.9 billion KRW was also recorded as inflow. Domestic and overseas bond fund capital, excluding ETFs, decreased by 15.4 billion KRW and 1.7 billion KRW, respectively.


Money Market Funds (MMFs), which attract short-term funds, saw an inflow of 973.1 billion KRW in one day, with the principal amount set at 16.0298 trillion KRW and total net assets recorded at 16.33478 trillion KRW.
