A is suspected of failing to warn or prevent the danger in advance when the deceased female golfer fell into a 3-meter-deep pond while trying to retrieve a ball at the time of the accident. Other party members and the caddie moved by cart, and it is known that the woman went to the pond alone.
Earlier, the police booked and are investigating one golf course safety officer on charges of failing to properly install safety measures such as fences around the pond.
They are also reviewing whether this case qualifies as a serious public disaster, which can result in punishment of the business owner if safety and health obligations are not fulfilled.
A serious public disaster refers to an accident caused by defects in the installation or management of public facilities or public transportation.

If found guilty, the business owner or management responsible may face imprisonment of one year or more or a fine of up to 1 billion won.
