Asiana passenger plane from Bangkok to Incheon unable to take off due to engine defect

[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] An Asiana Airlines passenger plane scheduled to depart from Bangkok, Thailand to Incheon on the 6th was unable to take off due to an engine malfunction.

According to Asiana Airlines, at 1:10 AM (local time) on that day, the Asiana Airlines passenger flight OZ742, which was about to depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand to Incheon International Airport, was halted from taking off due to an engine defect. Asiana Airlines initially informed passengers that the delay would be about 5 hours, but as maintenance was not completed afterward, the flight was ultimately canceled and a replacement flight was arranged.

The passenger plane was carrying 338 passengers, of whom 39 voluntarily chose to "hang up" (disembark) the plane. Asiana Airlines stated that the remaining 299 passengers were provided with accommodations such as local hotel stays to rest. They are scheduled to return home on a replacement flight at around 10 PM local time that day.
