Hankook Tire Ranks 1st in UK Specialty Magazine's 'SUV Tire Wet Surface Test'

Proven Excellent Grip and Handling Performance

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) announced on the 5th that its ultra-high-performance sport utility vehicle (SUV) tire, the Ventus S1 evo3 SUV, received a "Recommended" rating in the 2022 SUV tire performance test conducted by the UK automotive magazine Auto Express.

The test was conducted on SUV tires from global tire manufacturers such as Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, and Continental, evaluating essential tire performance aspects including driving performance on dry and wet surfaces and noise levels.

Hankook Tire's Ventus S1 evo3 SUV achieved a perfect score in wet surface handling and braking, securing an overwhelming first place, and was rated as an all-around tire demonstrating excellent performance on dry surfaces as well, ultimately ranking second overall.

The Ventus S1 evo3 SUV is the SUV version of the ultra-high-performance tire Ventus S1 evo3, which ranked first in last year's tire test conducted by Auto Express. It applies a "high-purity synthetic silica compound" to provide strong grip and optimized tire performance on both dry and wet surfaces.

Additionally, the sidewall features a lattice pattern that enhances cooling efficiency and block rigidity, improving driving stability and ride comfort. Along with this, the high-strength reinforced belt increases the tread strength to support a high level of initial output and acceleration.
